10 Best Yoga Exercise For Beginners

 


Yoga is a wonderful practice that offers numerous physical and mental benefits. If you're a beginner, here are ten yoga exercises (asanas) that are generally considered suitable for newcomers:

  1. Mountain Pose (Tadasana):

  2. Stand tall with feet together, grounding yourself and focusing on your breath.


  3. Child's Pose (Balasana):

  4. Kneel on the floor, then sit back on your heels while folding forward with your forehead resting on the mat.


  5. Downward-Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana):

  6. Begin on all fours, then lift your hips up and back, forming an inverted "V" shape with your body.


  7. Warrior I (Virabhadrasana I):

  8. Step one foot forward into a lunge position, with your back foot angled slightly outwards. Raise your arms overhead and gaze forward.


  9. Tree Pose (Vrikshasana):

  10. Shift your weight onto one leg and place the sole of your other foot on your inner thigh or calf. Find your balance and bring your hands to your heart center.



  11. Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana):

  12. Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Press into your feet, lift your hips, and interlace your hands beneath you.


  13. Cat-Cow Pose (Marjaryasana/Bitilasana):

  14. Come onto all fours and alternate between rounding your spine (cat) and arching it (cow) while coordinating with your breath.


  15. Corpse Pose (Savasana):

  16. Lie on your back, arms relaxed by your sides, and legs slightly apart. Focus on deep relaxation and letting go of tension in your body.


  17. Standing Forward Bend (Uttanasana):

  18. Stand with feet hip-width apart and fold forward from your hips, allowing your upper body to hang and relax

  20. Seated Forward Bend (Paschimottanasana):

  21. Sit on the floor with legs extended, then fold forward, reaching for your feet or shins, aiming to keep your spine long.
